4th Annual JumpStart UGrad Financial Services & Consulting Diversity Forum

The Diversity Forum is designed for rising sophomore, juniors, and seniors who are women or Black, African-American, or of African descent, Hispanic, Latin-American, or of Latin descent, Native American or American Indian, Asian and Pacific Islander to network and build relationships with a number of firms in the investment banking/financial services and consulting industries. For those of you considering these fields, this program provides a fantastic opportunity to learn from leading industry professionals. The event is free for selected participants and there is no application fee, apply online.

Summer Internship Opportunity at Draper Laboratory

Draper is looking for a summer intern to work on a project creating a living model of kidney tissue. The project leverages micro- and nano-fabrication along with advanced machining techniques to create systems which mimic kidney tissue and organ architecture, morphology, and function. The summer internship will allow use of Draper’s bioengineering/microfluidics lab, new microfabrication/MEMS center, and other resources. The result of the internship will be a contribution to a peer-reviewed publication in a scientific journal. ME, ChE, BioE, biology or other engineering discipline with experience in a laboratory setting is required. Experience with wet lab techniques, microfabrication/MEMS methods, and/or cell culture techniques is a plus. US citizenship is required.

Terrascope Student Presentations
The Future of Strategic Natural Resources, a Bazaar of Ideas

In an innovative Bazaar of Ideas format, freshmen from MIT's Terrascope learning community will present prototypes, models and demonstrations of the technologies and ideas that they have been working on to explore and solve issues having to do with the abundance and distribution of strategic natural resources.

We hope you will join us to support Terrascope's freshmen as they present their work. Refreshments will be served.
