NSA Women in Intelligence:  Making a Difference

NSA Headquarters in Ft. Meade, MD

The National Security Agency (NSA) is hostng its 3rd Annual NSA Women in Intelligence:  Making a Difference event and would like to extend an invitation to MIT students. This event will showcase NSA’s diversity of careers and leadership for students who are interested in working in the Intelligence Community, specifically NSA. Attendees will also participate in roundtable discussions as well as network with current employees.

NOTE:  Students who would like to participate must provide their own transportation to NSA.

MIT Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program

MIT Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program (UPOP) is looking to hire a part-time web software developer for the UPOP website. The job will be a great opportunity to learn new skills, work with UPOP staff and, of course, consume free snacks and candy! It's also a unique chance to receive mentoring from an MIT alum with her own consulting company. The flexible schedule will accommodate your core coursework responsibilities and is located conveniently on campus (including remote hours). Web Software Developer
Required Qualifications 

  •  SQL
  •  PHP (will consider other similar such as ruby or python)
  • Javascript/JQuery
  • Ability to be successful in an entrepreneurial work environment (ie 'nimble')
  • Agile knowledge
  • Interest and passion for software/web solutions more important than major
  • MIT student, any major

Preferred Skills

  • Drupal knowledge or experience (7 is optimal) (will consider other CMS work)
  • CSS
  • HTML

Time requirement: 
     5-10 hours per week (or negotiable)
     Some remote work
     Short, weekly meetings with staff and/or website consultant.

Salary:
     $12-15/hour, depending on level of experience.
