Diversity Outreach for Freshman Summer Paid Internship (Houston)
We are vigorously seeking applications from underrepresented students in technology, including but not limited to, members of the African American, Hispanic, Native American, Veteran, LGBTQ and disabled communities as well as women in general.
Applications are open to all Freshman who intend to major in Computer Science who will have completed at least two CS courses (including AP or IB courses in high school) by the end of the their freshman year.
This program will be a paid internship lasting 10 weeks and includes housing.

Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Program at the University of Pennsylvania
The University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics (LDI) offers paid internships for underrepresented minority undergraduates, or any other undergrads interested in exploring the field of health services research.
Designed to provide an immersive experience with the disciplines and culture of the academic health services research community, the program particularly encourages candidates from minority groups that are underrepresented in this field (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Pacific Islander) to apply.

Volunteer Opportunities for Upward Bound:
Volunteer Tutors are needed at the MIT/Wellesley Upward Bound Program to provide academic assistance, in the areas of Math, English, Science, Social Science, and World Language, to low-income and first-generation high school students in our after school tutorial program. High school level tutoring experience is preferred. The program is seeking individuals who are able to commit at least one day per week, with a minimum commitment of 2 hours per day.
Tutors are needed on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 - 6:00pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3PM-7PM. All after school programming takes place at the Program's main office, which is located at 265 Massachusetts Avenue, Room N52-130, Cambridge, MA 02139. Participants must attend all sessions.
