MIT Reads:
MIT Reads is an all-MIT reading experience that aims to build community and foster understanding. Each year's selected readings will center on a theme representing an important campus issue or priority. For 2016-17, the theme is diversity and inclusion. Three time a year, the Libraries will collaborate with various campus partners to select readings and hold discussion open to all community members. The MIT Press Bookstore will offer all MIT Reads books at a steep discount to MIT community members.
For the inaugural reading, the Libraries partnered with LBGTQ@MIT and the Gender Fluidity Group to select Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More by Janet Mock. Discussion groups for this book will be scheduled during the week of November 14. Please see MIT Reads Program (http://odge.mit.edu/2016/08/mit-reads-join-the-entire-community-for-reading-and-discussion/) by way of the MIT Reads mailing list for dates, times and locations.
