In Search of Students for Brief Focus Groups - RSVP by July 28

Are you on campus this Summer? The Office of Undergraduate Education in interested in hearing from students about how you find the resources and information you need at MIT, and how we an better communicate with you.

We are offer a pizza lunch and a $10 TechCash card to each participant.

We have scheduled two dates that you can choose from (you only need to attend one date):

Focus Group 1: 12-1pm, Weds., August 2, Room 2-131 or Focus Group 2:12-1pm, Weds., August 3, Room 2-131

If you are interested in participating, let me know which date works for you. Please respond by Friday, July 28 @ edurant@mit.edu. Hope you can join us!

From time to time our IACME partners have asked us for data regarding the placement of our students. In order to produce accurate information, we are asking all of our students to inform the OME when they have accepted internships, employment positions, etc. from our IACME partners

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) 31st Annual Conference, October 28-30, San Diego, CA

Professional Development conference and career fair for Hispanic/Latino students in San Diego. The OME is willing to cover ALL expenses for up to 10 students

Abdul Latif Jameel World Water and Food Security Lab - Offering Grants for Water and Food Projects in India

J-WAFS is offering a total of $15,000 in grants to current members of the MIT community interested in addressing a water or food challenge in India. The grants are intended to further work being pursued by individuals as part of their MIT research, innovation & entrepreneuship initiatives, coursework, or related activities, or support a relevant new activity.

OMESAC Student Group of the Semester Award - Deadline: Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:59pm

The OMESAC Student Group of the Semester Award is now open.

In order to recognize the contributions of our OME Student Advisory Council (OMESAC) Organizations and expand the benefits of membership, the OME has developed an award specifically for OMESAC groups The OMESAC Student Group of the Semester Award.  This award would be given to one student organization each semester which includes recognition on website/newsletters, a perpetual plaque in the OME, and a significant monetary contribution to the student organization.

MIT Alumni Advisors Hub

The Advisor Hub is an online platform that allows students and alumni seeking tangible, actionable career advice to tap into a network of experts from a variety of fields - made up of many of the 137,000+ MIT alumni worldwide. Advice seekers can receive guidance in the form of a career conversation or an informational interview, assist with critiquing resumes or conducting mock interviews.

The MIT Alumni Advisors Hub is available for MIT alumni and students. Institute staff working directly with students can request access on a case-by-case basis by emailing alumniadvisorshub@mit.edu
