William Rodriguez - Public Service

William has consistently demonstrated to be an active and contributing member of the MIT community. As President of MIT Model United Nations, William has greatly expanded the annual conference for high school students, raising registration to more than 600 students, launching the conference's first charity partnership program, and founding the first MIT Model UN Conference in China. Within MIT Colleges Against Cancer, William has helped fundraise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society, directing the Relay for Life event for the last three years and directing the first MIT-Harvard Relay for Life last spring. Moreover, he is an active member of the MIT Association of Puerto Rican Students and his co-ed fraternity, Delta Psi, known at MIT as the Number Six Club. He is also a UROP at Affective Computing in the MIT Media Lab and a stalwart intramural volleyball player. Nearing his senior year, William aspires to attend graduate school.
