Graduate School Application Fee Waivers

Here you will find the list of institutions for which you can apply using a fee waiver negotiated by L&L.

Please be sure to follow any and all steps outlined below.

Boston University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences  

Proof of participation letter

Email laureatesleaders [at] mit.edu (laureatesleaders[at]mit[dot]edu) to request your letter. Email the letter to grs [at] bu.edu.

 Applicants must email a signed letter from the L&L Assistant Dean to grs [at] bu.edu confirming their participation in Laureates & Leaders. In the body of the email, please include your full name, the name of the program and degree to which you are applying, and your 10-digit application ID.
Boston University College of Engineering    
On the waiver request form, select "Other" and input "MIT Laureates & Leaders" in the free response box. This will route your request to the appropriate person for approval.
Boston University School of Medicine (PhD Only)

When applying, applicants should select "MIT Laureates & Leaders" from the programs. The system will require a signed letter from the L&L Assistant Dean confirming student participation in the program.

Cornell

Georgia Tech

 

 Email laureatesleaders [at] mit.edu (laureatesleaders[at]mit[dot]edu) and request a code

Signed letter from Assistant Dean required. Email laureatesleaders [at] mit.edu (laureatesleaders[at]mit[dot]edu) requesting a signed letter confirming participation in the program. Please email a PDF of this letter to grad.ask [at] grad.gatech.edu and request guidance on how to obtain the fee waiver. You will receive an email response within 5-7 business days indicating whether the
application fee has been waived. Do not pay the application fee until you
receive a response from our office, as the fee is nonrefundable. If a fee waiver isn't granted, L&L will cover the cost

through our reimbursement process.

Johns Hopkins Kroger - Arts & Sciences

Krieger School of Arts & Science and the Whiting School of Engineering

L&L was added to our fee waiver option list as: MIT Laureates & Leaders.

Applicants are asked to upload supporting documents (e.g., email, letter, etc.) from a program lead showing they are members of the program.
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (PhD only)

 In the Payment/Application Fee Waiver section of the application, select L&L from the drop down menu and upload the proof of participation letter.
UC Santa Barbara

 If Laureates & Leaders does not appear on the fee waivers list within the application, applicants can indicate programs not on the fee-waivers list by selecting “Other” from the drop-down and then typing in the program name.
