2025 Interphase EDGE/x Summer Residential Staff Application

Please provide an answer to each of the following short answer questions below in approximately 200 – 500 words:

Why are you interested in learning, teaching, and leading as a Residential Facilitator in the Interphase EDGE program? If you would like to be considered for EDGEx support, please speak to your interest and/or experience with digital engagement and learning. (If you have taught, tutored, or mentored students in the past, please include examples from your previous experiences.)

Write about a time you engaged and supported others to accomplish a shared goal. What was challenging and how did you grow? If you would like to be considered for EDGEx, please include a reflection on how you would adapt such support to a digital environment. (If you have taught or tutored in the past, please include examples from your previous experiences.)

Reflect on a time when you didn’t perform as well as you had anticipated: How did you respond? What did you learn? If you would like to be considered for EDGEx, please discuss how you would troubleshoot this — or a similar situation — virtually. (If you have taught or tutored in the past, please include examples from your previous experiences.)

What about your ethnicity, gender, nationality, religion, family make-up, or other identity markers has shaped you? How? What have you embraced or rejected? Why?

What other responsibilities (work, research, etc.) will you have this summer? How will you make Interphase EDGE a priority? (Interphase will take up the majority of your time this summer)

In addition, all Communication, Writing, & Identity applicants must submit a short (300 – 1000 words) writing sample in order for their application to be considered complete.
